Attention becomes a language.
Cinematic atmosphere, controlled light and increasingly recognisable authorship give the completed year a stronger editorial identity while leaving room for occasional voices and unexpected worlds.
A medium can contain contradiction: portraiture and abstraction, landscape and reportage, architectural study and visual fiction.
The engine provides geometry, atmosphere, weather, surfaces and light. The photograph begins when those materials are reorganised by attention. The software changed. The eye remained.
